Tour Description
A one day fully guided Auckland tour from your pick up time around 9.30am to 5.30 pm, visiting a local Marae (Maori village) for warm Maori welcome. There we will hear great stories of our ancestors, see intricate carvings and learn how to weave. We then travel to the wonderful Auckland Museum and see the biggest collection of Taonga (treasures) in New Zealand. No visit to New Zealand is complete without seeing our national icon the kiwi ,which we will see at the Auckland Zoo. The tour also includes One Tree Hill (Maungakiekie), the world famous site of an ancient Maori Pa (fortress) , the crater of the dormant Mt Eden volcano (Maungawhau), and the great harbour views and history of Bastion Point.
