Weaving or Raranga is a fine form of Art here in Aotearoa using the Harakeke plant or more commonly known as flax bush. In pre-european times the Native people of Aotearoa (Maori) utilised the Harakeke plant as a source of life, weaving fine mats, kete’s (baskets) and all sorts. |
