Hygiene Safety Regulations for Customers

Masks: Not mandatory. The current advice from the New Zealand Government Department of Health is that masks are not mandatory for customers, although they do increase protection against the spread of the virus.

Social Distancing: Maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters.

Health Declaration: Customers may be asked to provide contact information like mobile phone numbers for immediate and quick contact tracing.

Hygiene Safety Regulations for Staff

Masks:  Not mandatory. The current advice from the New Zealand Government Department of Health is that face masks must be worn by business staff only if social distancing measures of at least 1.5m cannot be maintained. 

Personal hygiene: Hands need to be cleaned regularly with soap and water.

Social distancing: Maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters.

Medical check-up: Employees will be going through regular medical examinations. Those who feel unwell and/or have a fever must stay home.  

Operations Safety Regulations 
Signage and poster to communicate to visitors and staff safe distancing and health measures.  

Staff needs to be trained in operations for hygiene safety. They need to ensure that visitors/customers are well-informed of the degree of exposure to COVID-19 risk within the activity and the need for following risk controls.

Cleaning of the venues by the operators is increased, hand sanitizers placed in strategic locations, and clean air/regular ventilation need to be ensured for indoor places.

All businesses must keep records to facilitate contact tracing.
